Honey Simple Syrup Preparation
- In a small saucepan, combine ¾ cup of honey and ¾ cup of water over medium heat. Stir gently until the honey fully dissolves, which should take about 3–5 minutes.
- Once done, remove it from heat and allow the mixture to cool down completely.
Juicing Lemons
- Take about 8 to 10 fresh lemons and cut them in half. Using a citrus juicer or reamer, extract the juice until you have approximately 1 cup of vibrant lemon juice.
- Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove any seeds or pulp.
Combining Ingredients
- In a large pitcher, combine the cooled honey simple syrup with the 1 cup of lemon juice.
- Pour in 4 cups of cold water and stir well with a long spoon until thoroughly mixed.
Adjusting Sweetness
- Taste your Honey Lemonade. If you prefer it sweeter, add more honey simple syrup up to an additional ½ cup, stirring well after each addition.
Serving
- Fill glasses with ice cubes, then carefully pour the lemonade over the ice.
- Garnish with a fresh lemon slice on the rim if desired.
