  • 1 large Egg for vegan option, substitute with flax egg
  • 1 cup Plain Breadcrumbs can be swapped with crushed crackers
  • 1/2 cup Whole Milk use any milk or almond milk
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup can swap with tomato or barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce optional but recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder fresh garlic is a great alternative
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper optional but recommended
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup (topping)
  • 2 tablespoons Light Brown Sugar honey makes a great alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard or Dijon Mustard adjust amount to taste

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a loaf pan with cooking spray or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, whole milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and ground black pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, shaping it evenly. Alternatively, form it into an oval shape on the lined baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the glaze ingredients: ketchup, light brown sugar, and mustard. Spread the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Monitor in the last 10-15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let it rest for 5-8 minutes before slicing and serving.
