  • 2 lbs Powdered Sugar Plus extra for dusting.
  • 1/4 tsp Fine Sea Salt Used sparingly.
  • 1 tsp Peppermint Extract Adjust to taste.
For Color (Optional)
  • 1 tube Gel Food Coloring Gel-based colors won’t alter dough texture.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Mix softened cream cheese and unsalted butter in a stand mixer bowl on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  2. Gradually add fine sea salt and powdered sugar, mixing on low for 4-5 minutes until fully incorporated.
  3. Pour in peppermint extract and mix on low for 1-2 minutes until well blended.
  4. For color, split dough and add gel food coloring to each portion, mixing to combine.
  5. Roll dough into 1 teaspoon balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Dust a fork with powdered sugar and gently press down each ball to flatten.
  7. Allow the mints to dry at room temperature for at least 2 hours.
  8. Transfer dried mints to an airtight container for storage.
