Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your griddle or skillet to medium-high heat for at least 5 minutes.
  2. Add butter or oil, then sauté onions, red bell pepper, and poblano pepper for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  3. Spread the shaved ribeye or sirloin on the griddle, sear without stirring for 1-2 minutes, then break it into pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Drizzle sauce over cooked beef, stirring and cooking for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  5. Fold in sautéed vegetables and top with slices of cheese, covering briefly to melt.
  6. Toast hoagie rolls on the griddle for 30-60 seconds until golden brown.
