Preparation Steps
- Wash, pit, and dice the ripe peaches. In a medium saucepan, combine with sugar, water, and fresh lemon juice. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until peaches are soft.
- Mash the mixture to create a chunky puree. Strain through a fine sieve into a bowl and allow to cool to room temperature.
- In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water over medium heat, stirring until sugar fully dissolves and cool completely.
- Juice the fresh lemons to get approximately one cup of lemon juice. Strain to remove pulp and seeds, then mix with cooled simple syrup in a large pitcher.
- Add peach puree to the lemonade base and gradually mix in cold water, adjusting sweetness and tanginess to taste.
- Chill the assembled lemonade in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Serve over ice with garnishes.
