  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil can replace with canola or melted coconut oil
  • gel food coloring (Kelly Green) liquid food coloring not recommended

  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine one box of cake mix, two eggs, and a quarter cup of vegetable oil. Stir until thick and sticky, around 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add a few drops of Kelly green gel food coloring to the dough and mix until color is uniform.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rest for about 15-30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F and lining baking sheets.
  4. Scoop small portions of dough, roll into balls, coat in granulated sugar, then powdered sugar.
  5. Arrange the dough balls on the sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart, and bake for 9-12 minutes until puffed and set around edges.
  6. Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack for complete cooling.
