  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced, or use garlic powder.
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Fresh grated, or ground ginger as substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil Use olive oil for a lighter flavor.
For Thicking the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch Arrowroot powder can be used as well.
For Garnish
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Sliced for garnish.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Combine the sliced steak with grated ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Pour the marinated beef mixture into your slow cooker and spread it out evenly.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Mix the cornstarch with a couple of tablespoons of water until smooth and stir into the slow cooker.
  6. Plate the Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef, drizzle with the thickened sauce, and garnish with sliced green onions.
