Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wrap the tofu in paper towels and press under a heavy object for 15-20 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Simmer and whisk in cornstarch slurry until thickened.
  3. Cut pressed tofu into cubes. Toss gently with soy sauce and cornstarch mixture.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Sear the tofu until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the tofu in the skillet, toss to coat, and serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
