Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash and slice 2 cups of fresh strawberries. In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced strawberries with 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water. Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens into a syrupy consistency. Strain to remove solids and let cool.
  2. Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat, add 3-4 black tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove bags and stir in 1/4 cup of sugar until dissolved. Allow to cool.
  3. In a large pitcher, pour the cooled strawberry syrup along with the chilled brewed tea. Add 2 cups of cold water and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Mix well.
  4. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes, pour the Strawberry Iced Tea over the ice, and garnish with fresh mint and sliced strawberries.
