  • 1 medium Jalapeño Remove seeds for milder drink.
  • 1 medium Cucumber Zucchini can be used as a substitute.
For the Cocktail
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar For rimming glass.
  • 1 tablespoon Kosher Salt For rimming glass.
  • 2 medium Lime Wedges For rimming and garnish.
  • 1 ounce Orange Liqueur (e.g., Cointreau) Triple sec can be used as an alternative.
  • ¾ ounce Fresh Lime Juice Freshly squeezed is preferred.

Method
 

Infusion and Preparation
  1. Muddle a quartered jalapeño in a jar. Pour in 2 cups of tequila, adding cucumber slices. Seal and let infuse for 8 to 12 hours.
  2. Prepare the sugar-salt rim by combining granulated sugar and kosher salt. Coat glass rims with lime wedges before dipping into the mixture.
  3. Combine 2 ounces of the infused tequila, 1 ounce of orange liqueur, and ¾ ounce of fresh lime juice in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds.
  4. Strain into prepared glasses filled with ice and garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of jalapeño.
