Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 1/2 cup Milk Any milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast Ensure it's fresh
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar Brown sugar can be used in the filling

Filling

Icing
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese Non-dairy cream cheese can substitute
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Use less for less sweet icing

  • 2 tbsp Heavy Cream Milk can be used for lighter version

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Warm the milk until lukewarm, sprinkle in the yeast, and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Mix the egg and melted butter, then add the yeast mixture. In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt, then mix into the wet ingredients to form a sticky dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing pistachio butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined, set aside.
  5. After the dough has risen, punch it down, roll into a rectangle, spread the filling, and roll tightly to form a log.
  6. Slice the log into 4-6 rolls, place in a greased baking dish, cover, and allow to rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 23-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare icing by beating cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth.
  9. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and serve immediately.
