  • to taste Celery Seeds, Dried Parsley, Dried Thyme, Ground Black Pepper seasoning mix
  • 8 oz Gruyere Cheese, shredded Swiss or provolone can be alternatives
  • 1 lb Bacon or turkey bacon for a lighter alternative
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise or Greek yogurt for a healthier substitute
  • 1 tsp A1 Steak Sauce adjust to taste
  • 12 Slider-size Toasted Buns or whole wheat/gluten-free as alternatives
  • Fresh Thyme can be omitted if not available
  • 2 large Yellow Onions or substitute with Vidalia or Walla Walla onions for a milder taste
  • Arugula or baby spinach/mixed greens for balance

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Caramelize onions by melting 3 tablespoons of butter in a skillet, adding sliced yellow onions and thyme, cooking for 40 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake bacon on a lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until crispy and drain.
  3. Make A1 mayo by mixing mayonnaise with A1 steak sauce and black pepper, refrigerate.
  4. Combine ground beef, crushed bouillon, dried minced onion, and seasoning mix, shape into 12 patties.
  5. Cook patties in the skillet with 2 tablespoons of butter for 2 minutes each side, topping with Gruyere cheese.
  6. Assemble sliders with arugula, beef patty, caramelized onions, bacon, and A1 mayo on toasted buns.
