Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to approximately 1/4 inch thickness and cut into 2-inch wide strips.
- Place a dollop of the filling on one half of each strip, fold over, and seal by pressing down; twist the pastry to enclose the filling.
- Brush the tops of the twists with egg wash and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed up; keep an eye on them to prevent over-browning.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving warm.
