Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with olive oil or non-stick spray.
- Whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, kosher salt, and espresso powder in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix olive oil, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Gradually incorporate eggs, one at a time.
- Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream into the wet mixture, then fold in mashed ripe bananas.
- Toss dark and semi-sweet chocolate chips in flour to prevent sinking, then fold into the batter.
- Transfer the batter into the loaf pan, smooth the top, and optionally sprinkle with banana slices and chocolate chips.
- Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 20 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
Don’t overmix and ensure fresh ingredients for the best results. Room temperature eggs enhance moisture.
