Step-by-Step Instructions for Spicy Garlic Butter Shrimp
  1. Prepare the shrimp by shelling and deveining if not pre-prepared, rinse under cold water, and pat dry. Marinate with salt, black pepper, and paprika for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet over high heat and add olive oil. Add marinated shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to low and add minced garlic to the remaining oil in the skillet, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant and golden.
  4. Sprinkle red chilli flakes in the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Add cold butter and lemon juice, stirring until butter is melted and combined.
  5. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, toss gently in the garlic butter sauce until fully cooked through, about 1 minute.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped herbs. Serve immediately with crusty bread, over rice, or with a salad.
