Ingredients

For the Octopus
  • 1 large Octopus Thawed overnight and boiled for 30 minutes for tenderness.
For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil High-quality for best results.
  • 1 large Lemon Or substitute with lime.
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika Smoked paprika for a lovely twist.
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped, for garnish.

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Large Pot
  • Serving Platter

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. If using frozen octopus, ensure it’s thawed overnight in the fridge. Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a boil over high heat. Carefully add the octopus and cook for 30 minutes.
  2. While the octopus is boiling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F). Allow at least 10-15 minutes for the grill grates to become hot.
  3. Remove the octopus from the pot and let it cool for a few minutes. Drizzle olive oil over it, sprinkle paprika, and squeeze lemon or lime juice for flavor.
  4. Place the seasoned octopus tentacles on the preheated grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until charred.
  5. Remove the octopus from the grill and arrange on a serving platter. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
