- Melt dark chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water until smooth, about 5 minutes. Mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, caster sugar, and demerara sugar until thick and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
- Sift together plain flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Fold in chocolate chips.
