For the Finish
  • 1/2 cup Honey Warmed; can use maple syrup or agave for vegan.
  • 2 tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds Omit if nut allergies exist.

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with melted butter.
  2. Unroll the phyllo dough and layer eight sheets in the greased baking dish, brushing each with melted butter.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together semolina flour, eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the filling over the phyllo base, fold over excess phyllo edges, and top with additional phyllo sheets brushed with butter.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before drizzling honey over the top.
  6. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the honey before serving.
