For the Spam
  • 7 slices Spam Can use low-sodium Spam.
For Assembly
  • 3.5 sheets Sushi nori For wrapping.
  • to taste Furikake seasoning Adds flavor and texture.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse the Calrose rice under hot water until clear; cook according to rice cooker instructions, about 20 minutes.
  2. Mix brown sugar, soy sauce, mirin, and sesame oil; microwave until dissolved or heat in a saucepan.
  3. Pan-fry the Spam in a non-stick pan until crispy, then coat with teriyaki sauce.
  4. Lay sushi nori on plastic wrap and position musubi mold in the center.
  5. Pack 1 cup of rice in the mold, sprinkle furikake, and add Spam on top.
  6. Wrap the nori around the rice and Spam, sealing it with water.
  7. Slice the musubi in half and serve immediately.
