- Slice the baguette or ciabatta into 1.5 to 2 cm thick pieces. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lay the slices on a baking sheet. Toast the bread for 5–8 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- While the bread is toasting, hull and slice the fresh strawberries into thin pieces. In a mixing bowl, combine them with powdered sugar and a splash of lemon juice. Allow this mixture to sit for 10–15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the mascarpone (or cream cheese) with a dusting of powdered sugar. Whip until smooth and creamy.
- Once the bread is toasted, generously spread the creamy mixture onto each slice of toasted bread. Top them with a heap of the marinated strawberries.
- Finish each bruschetta with a sprinkle of fresh mint or basil. Serve immediately.
