  • 1/2 cup almond flour or almond meal
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt for a lighter option
  • 1 large egg essential for binding

  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme or dried oregano/basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper adjust according to spice preference
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
For the Spicy Dill-Garlic Dip
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne adjust or leave out as desired

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine sour cream, dill, garlic, and cayenne in a bowl. Whisk until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  2. Drain the salmon and remove any bones and skin. Pat it dry and place in a bowl.
  3. Add almond flour, mayonnaise, egg, salt, thyme, and pepper to the salmon. Mix gently and form into five patties.
  4. Chill the patties in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the patties to a paper towel-lined plate and serve with the spicy dill-garlic dip.
