For the Sprouts
  • 1 pound Brussels Sprouts trimmed and halved

For the BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce use tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Honey/Maple Syrup can substitute with agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha adjust based on heat tolerance
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh minced
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar can substitute with apple cider vinegar
For Garnishing
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds can be omitted
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Green Onions for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts and place them in a large bowl.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the sprouts and season with salt and black pepper. Toss to coat.
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts on the baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway.
  5. Mix soy sauce, honey/maple syrup, sriracha, ginger, garlic, and rice vinegar in a medium bowl for the BBQ sauce.
  6. Remove sprouts from the oven and drizzle the BBQ sauce over them, tossing gently to coat.
  7. Return the sauced sprouts to the oven and roast for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
  9. Serve hot, best enjoyed fresh for crispy texture.
