Cooking Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, about 9 to 11 minutes.
- While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add seasoned shrimp and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes per side.
- In the same skillet, add asparagus and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet, add drained pasta, and toss everything together.
- Stir in basil pesto and a splash of reserved pasta water to coat all ingredients.
- Finish by adding Parmesan cheese and lemon zest, stirring until creamy.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan and black pepper.
