- Prepare the Crockpot: Spray the inner pot of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
- Layer Frozen Pierogi: Place half of the frozen pierogi in a single layer at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Add Kielbasa and Onion: Sprinkle half of the sliced kielbasa and onion evenly over the layer of pierogi.
- Mix Creamy Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and melted butter until smooth.
- First Sauce Layer: Spoon half of the creamy sauce over the first layer of ingredients in the crockpot.
- Repeat Layers: Add the remaining frozen pierogi, followed by the rest of the kielbasa and onion, then pour the remaining creamy sauce on top.
- Cook: Cover the crockpot and set it on low heat for 4 to 5 hours, checking for tenderness.
- Add Cheese: About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and replace the lid.
- Serve and Garnish: Once bubbly and golden, serve hot from the slow cooker topped with chopped chives.
