  • 14 oz Kielbasa Can substitute with smoked sausage or bratwurst

  • 10.5 oz Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup Cream of chicken or celery soup can be substituted
  • 2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Other melting cheeses like Monterey Jack also work well
  • 2 tbsp Butter Can be omitted for a lighter version or replaced with olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Pepper Adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp Chives Can be replaced with parsley if chives are unavailable

Instructions
  1. Prepare the Crockpot: Spray the inner pot of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Layer Frozen Pierogi: Place half of the frozen pierogi in a single layer at the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Add Kielbasa and Onion: Sprinkle half of the sliced kielbasa and onion evenly over the layer of pierogi.
  4. Mix Creamy Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and melted butter until smooth.
  5. First Sauce Layer: Spoon half of the creamy sauce over the first layer of ingredients in the crockpot.
  6. Repeat Layers: Add the remaining frozen pierogi, followed by the rest of the kielbasa and onion, then pour the remaining creamy sauce on top.
  7. Cook: Cover the crockpot and set it on low heat for 4 to 5 hours, checking for tenderness.
  8. Add Cheese: About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and replace the lid.
  9. Serve and Garnish: Once bubbly and golden, serve hot from the slow cooker topped with chopped chives.
