Preparation
- Start by rimming your glass with fresh lemon or orange juice to dampen the edge. Dip the rim into raw sugar, ensuring it's evenly coated.
- Using a vegetable peeler, carefully create a long strip of orange peel.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine ginger simple syrup, freshly squeezed orange juice, and lemon juice. Shake vigorously with ice for about 15-20 seconds.
- Remove the ice from your prepared glass and strain the citrus mixture into it, filling it two-thirds full. Top off with sparkling apple cider.
- Gently squeeze the orange peel over the drink to release essential oils, adding aroma. Place the peel on the rim or float it on top.
