  • 2-3 bags Green Tea Bags Can substitute with Oolong or Jasmine green tea.
For Sweetening and Flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Or substitute with maple syrup or agave.
  • 1 can Lychees in Syrup Or use fresh peeled lychees.
For Zesty Balance
  • 1 juiced Lemon Use fresh juice for best flavor.
  • 1 juiced Lime Use fresh juice for a vibrant flavor.
For Serving
  • 2 cups Ice For serving.
  • Fresh Mint Optional garnish.
  • Lemon and Lime Slices Optional garnish.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Add honey and stir until fully dissolved.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and add 2-3 green tea bags to the hot water. Allow them to steep for 3 minutes without pressing the bags.
  3. After steeping, remove the tea bags and let the brewed tea cool at room temperature for at least 10 minutes.
  4. In a blender, combine the lychees in syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
  5. Once the brewed tea has cooled, pour it into a pitcher and add the lychee puree. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or overnight for optimal flavor.
  7. When ready to enjoy, fill tall glasses with ice and pour the chilled Lychee Iced Tea over. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon and lime slices.
